Nothing, Nowhere, None of the Time
The Work
Created for an open-ended final project for my English: Popular Fiction and Media class, this zine created a visual and written experience around the work we explored in class, including novels, short stories, and movies.
I grounded the larger themes in personal, lived experiences through interviews with friends and family. Together, we explored themes of subjectivity, cultural impact, and romanticism of time, which I integrated throughout the zine as quotes and anecdotes.
The Skills
This project strengthened my ability to interweave multiple literary works with my own analysis to form a cohesive narrative. I focused on asking the right questions to draw out authentic perspectives from family and friends that would deepen the narrative, in both emotion and impact.
Inspired by the thematic tone and structure of Everything Everywhere All at Once, I enhanced the experience through a visual look and feel that felt chaotic, yet curated.
